Barbara is adapting her novel, "A VOICE OF HER OWN: Becoming Emily Dickinson", for the stage. She joins mezzo soprano, Kathleen Shimeta in a concert performance, combining text from her novel with musical settings of the poems, including new settings by Michael Conley, Drew Hemenger and Martin Hennessy. Kate Bushamnn directs. Theater Games Barbara is currently working on a new full-length play. She is expanding her one-act What Keeps Us Going, which Barbara wrote for herself and Tony Award-winning actress, Elizabeth Wilson. Julie of the Wolves The musical. Barbara is collaborating with novelist Jean Craighead George and composer, Chris Kubie, on a musical version of the Newbery Award-winning book by Jean Craighead George.
